Hi, my name is Emily! I am a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I received my Bachelor’s degree and my Master’s degree in social work from Miami University. In my free time, I’m usually online shopping, taking pictures of my cats sleeping, and watching A24 movies. It is an honor and a privilege to empower others and walk with them through healing and growth. I believe therapy is an alliance between the therapist and  client. My goal is to provide you a safe place where you feel encouraged to work on symptoms that are hindering you from living the life you envision for yourself. As your therapist, I will help guide you to be your biggest advocate, how to incorporate self love into your daily life, and see yourself as someone with worth and value. Therapy can be hard, but I believe we can do hard things. If you’re reading this bio, you’ve already done the hardest part. You got this!!!

My areas of experience include depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, LGBTQ+ concerns, religious trauma, OCD, grief, ADHD, suicide/self harm behaviors, and crisis intervention. My clinical approach is client-centered, meaning the focus is on the goals that the client would like to accomplish. I draw from principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Problem Solving Therapy.
