Amanda Meyer is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who works with individuals and adolescents navigating a range of emotional and mental health challenges. Her clinical focus includes out-of-control emotions, anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, and women’s issues. Amanda offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, making her services accessible and adaptable to the needs of her clients. Whether working with a teen struggling with emotional regulation or an adult exploring identity and healing from trauma, Amanda brings warmth, clarity, and a nonjudgmental approach to every session.
Amanda is trained in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her therapeutic style emphasizes skill-building, self-awareness, and values-driven living. With a background in Trauma-Focused CBT and a growing specialization in ACT, Amanda helps clients explore how modern stressors like social media, screen time, and poor sleep habits can affect emotional well-being—especially in teens and young adults. Her ability to blend structured techniques with genuine human connection sets her apart in her work.
Amanda received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Michigan State University. Her career reflects a strong commitment to helping others find resilience and strength through life’s most difficult moments. She views therapy as a collaborative process, where both therapist and client bring their strengths and insights to the table. Amanda’s belief in the power of therapy and personal growth is the foundation of her work.
Outside of the therapy office, Amanda finds joy and balance in the natural world. She enjoys spending her weekends hiking, camping, and horseback riding with her dogs, horses, friends, and family. This connection to nature and to those she loves helps Amanda stay grounded, and she brings that same sense of presence and authenticity to her clients.
