Hi, my name is Mariah Couser. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I believe that individuals grow towards change when they are provided a safe and comfortable atmosphere, paired with acceptance, empathy, guidance, and understanding. I have experience in a variety of techniques such as: Interpersonal Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, and client-centered techniques to meet each individual where they currently are. I enjoy working with children and adolescents dealing with anxiety, ADHD, Autism, depression, school problems, parent/child relationships, parents and teens, behavior problems, PTSD, trauma, and much more. I want to highlight the strengths and talents to apply strategies and achieve individual goals.

I am a National and State of Ohio Board Certified Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bryan College and obtained my Masters in Clinical Health Counseling along with a certification in Child and Adolescents and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) from Richmont Graduate University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate at Liberty University in Counseling Education and Supervision. My goal is to walk beside and guide each individual on the pathway towards success in meeting the goals in life. I have experience working with children as young as two and a half through adolescents in varying levels of their home, family, and school environments. While working with children, I assist parent(s) in building a healthy relationship with their child(ren) and guidance for empowerment to advocate for their child in different settings.
