Hi, my name is Mariah Couser, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. I believe that meaningful change begins in a safe and supportive environment; one grounded in empathy, acceptance, and understanding. My goal is to walk alongside each client, offering guidance as they move toward personal growth and long-term success.
I have extensive experience using a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I tailor my approach to meet clients where they are, focusing on their strengths and helping them apply practical strategies to reach their goals.
I specialize in working with children and adolescents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, Autism, depression, school-related issues, behavioral concerns, PTSD, trauma, and parent-child relationship struggles. My work extends beyond individual therapy to include support and empowerment for parents, helping them build stronger relationships with their children and advocate confidently across home, school, and community settings.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bryan College and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, where I also earned a certification in Child and Adolescent Counseling and PCIT. I completed my Doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision at Liberty University.
Whether working with a two-year-old or a teenager, I am passionate about helping young people and their families thrive—emotionally, relationally, and developmentally.
