Hi, my name is Emily! I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio, holding both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Miami University. Outside of work, you’ll often find me online shopping, capturing adorable photos of my cats sleeping, or watching thought-provoking A24 movies.
It is truly an honor and privilege to empower others and walk alongside them through their healing and growth journeys. I believe therapy is a collaborative alliance between therapist and client, and my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel encouraged to address the symptoms and challenges that are holding you back from living the life you envision.
As your therapist, I’m here to guide you in becoming your own biggest advocate, helping you cultivate self-love, embrace your worth, and recognize the value you bring to this world. Therapy can be tough, but I believe we can do hard things together. If you’re reading this bio, you’ve already taken the hardest step—so, you got this!
My clinical experience includes working with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, LGBTQ+ concerns, religious trauma, OCD, grief, ADHD, suicide and self-harm behaviors, and crisis intervention. I use a client-centered approach, focusing on the goals you want to achieve. My therapeutic toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy.
