Trauma Therapy for Complex PTSD, Developmental Trauma & Relational Healing

Many of the clients who find me have spent years trying to understand why they struggle. They may have read the books, listened to the podcasts, and even participated in therapy before. Yet they still find themselves feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, shame, emotional reactivity, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense that something is wrong with them.

I specialize in helping adults heal from Complex PTSD, developmental trauma, and relational trauma. Often, the wounds that impact us most do not come from a single traumatic event, but from growing up in environments where we felt unseen, emotionally unsafe, criticized, neglected, or responsible for the needs of others. These experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves, our emotions, and our relationships long into adulthood.

With more than 25 years of experience as a counselor, I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that combines deep understanding with practical tools for change. My work is informed by Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches that recognize trauma is not only held in our thoughts and memories, but also within the nervous system and body.

Rather than focusing solely on talking about what happened, we work together to understand the protective strategies that helped you survive and the ways they may now be limiting your ability to live fully. Through parts work, nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and embodied awareness, clients often discover a greater sense of safety, emotional balance, connection, and freedom.

I work with adults experiencing:

  • Complex PTSD and childhood trauma

  • Emotional neglect and developmental trauma

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Shame and self-criticism

  • Relationship and attachment difficulties

  • People-pleasing and codependency

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Low self-worth and identity concerns

  • Life transitions and personal growth

My practice is self-pay, which allows me to provide highly individualized care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. I believe therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of each client rather than dictated by diagnosis codes or treatment restrictions.

Healing is possible. If you are ready to move beyond simply understanding your struggles and begin experiencing meaningful, lasting change, I would be honored to support you on that journey.
